JOSEPH'S STORY
“I thought I was too old to learn. I never went to school and didn’t even know Kiswahili or English very well. I had been pastoring for 20 years when I attended WABI. My church was very small and never really grew. There were many times I wanted to give up at school but the wonderful leaders there helped and encouraged me. I was totally changed. My wife and church really saw the difference in me. I began to teach the word of God and my church began to grow. We grew spiritually, in numbers and also were able to build a stone church. We had been in the old wood church 20 years. I have now been promoted to bishop over all the churches in my region (Nakuru county) because of the leadership skills I have learned at WABI. I thank God for WABI!”

DARUKA'S STORY
DARUKA'S STORY
Daruka is from South Sudan. Her husband is a bishop in the Anglican church. He was a “lost boy” that escaped from Sudan and made it to a refugee camp in Kenya. He was taken to US. Now he is ministering in Kenya and South Sudan. He sent his wife, Daruka, to WABI to be trained in the Word of God. She spoke very little English and no Kiswahili. Daruka was dramatically transformed through the Word of God. Forgiveness class was paramount for her, as she held a lot of bitterness from her family members being killed in Sudan. She also testified that she is much more bold and free since going through this school. Daruka has a heart to go back to South Sudan and minister to the women there
with a message of the love and forgiveness through Jesus.
